I'm very interested in the history of Tarot and its tangling with the occult. Putting this on my list!

Reverend Erik finished reading The practical art of divine magic by Patrick Dunn
I realized at some point that I had already read MOST of this book. But I enjoyed every chapter, every bit that I was reading for the second time. Dunn does an excellent job presenting the reader with things to think about and try. This is an excellent book for anybody who wishes to treat magic as a true spiritual practice.

I absolutely love this translation. It is more poetic than others, and much easier to read. The book keeps it short, without a lot of explanation or commentary. But also, it has plenty of footnotes about translation, so you can get a better idea of where the translator was going and how they got there. I love this book so much that I take it with me when traveling! Highly recommended.

A brief and useful book

This is a short ebook in the Hadean Press tradition. It's very useful. The author does just what they promise: the fumigations from Agrippa's "Three Books of Occult Philosophy" are taken apart and analyzed, with alternate ingredients given. One very nice thing about the book is that it also includes a fumigation for all seven planets all mixed together! I particularly appreciated how they were kind enough to point out all of the poisonous ingredients and which ones should not be burned anywhere near human nostrils.
