I absolutely love this translation. It is more poetic than others, and much easier to read. The book keeps it short, without a lot of explanation or commentary. But also, it has plenty of footnotes about translation, so you can get a better idea of where the translator was going and how they got there. I love this book so much that I take it with me when traveling! Highly recommended.

@arnemancy I have this book on my shelf but I have yet to read it. I am sure I bought it after listening to Poke on his podcast reviewing and endorsing it. If both you and Poke are recommending it then I’ll definitely have to read it soon.

@arnemancy I went straight for the Copenhaver translation, but I think I should have Salaman's as well, for when I don't want to wade through footnotes and other extraneous material. Another work I've heard great things about is The Gospel of Hermes by Duncan Greenlees. What's unique about his book is that he arranges the teachings thematically, which is a great thing for when you want to research a specific aspect. Having everything about whatever you want to know all collected in one place, is especially helpful.
