There's specifically a Penguin audiobook version, read by a voice actor who is recently famous from performing in a popular videogame. Here he is, what a nice man www.instagram.com/theo_solomon/

My marxist little heart was cheered to hear him say this was one of his favorite books to perform, a lot of his work is shitty genre novels SORRY. Anyway, for SOME reason, that particular penguin audiobook is region locked to the UK. I teleported over there and bought it and ripped the files to have a personal digital copy.

My end goal is to try to radicalize the fangirls a little bit by sharing it around my videogame forums. He's a really good reader! I find a lot of theory from this era really benefits from a performer as an audiobook reader, the author's emotional core shines through. If you would like a copy, reach out to me. :)

Oh wait, about the book: the author is a psychologist. He explores how the way European (particularly French) education in their colonies creates a sense of racial inferiority in their colonial subjects, and that that dynamic is a deliberate political tool of empires. It's a fucking good book, the analysis goes from the most human-emotional to the largest scale of liberatory political action.
