Lo leí con 20 años y tenía ganas de darle otra vuelta para comprobar si es un libro que se disfruta más en la juventud o en la madurez. La verdad es que no me ha quedado claro y quizá lo que ocurre es que no uno de esos libros hechos para ser disfrutados.

Yo no fui un adolescente como Holden Caulfield. No fui rebelde, no ligaba y no tuve ese éxito social compatible con su extrañeza hacia el mundo adulto. Entiendo que hace falta ser como él para identificarse, porque si no lo cierto es que llega a ser un personaje bastante antipático. Es probable que sea un personaje diseñado para caer mal en cualquier caso, ahí está la clave. Romanzo di formazione scorrevole e piuttosto significativo, ma bisogna sforzarsi di passare oltre a certe cose - traduzione in primis, che risulta spesso e volentieri forzata (proprio per come è fatto il testo originale, non perché sia una cattiva traduzione)

The question about giving out your opinion about The Catcher In The Rye is that you feel like everything that you have to say has already been said by everyone else.
But the truth is that human experience (like opinions) are most of the times different inspite of similar. And that's what I believe is the biggest trumph of this book.
I must confess: I was hatting it in the first pages. It was looking like a pointless and superficial narration. I won't say it isn't. But I continued and started to believe there was more to it. Holden's complex personality reflecting the fight he was enduring with his growth and the contradictions he was becoming aware of generated not only some empathy with me as some feeling of needing to observe him. Because the representation of this human experience was quite well done in a perspetive of one person …
