Thirteen-year-old Eric and Rincewind the wizard have many adventures trying to escape from the equally horrifying and ludicrous beings and places of the magical Dungeon Dimension.

Pratchett has finally done what he wanted with a Rincewind story!

5 stars

No bloat, action-packed, great plot, all the subplots are well-connected.

An amazing concept of the ultimate hell, happiness and everything.

It's also lovely to see how Pratchett and Adams were playing galactic catch! If you would tell me that Pratchett asked Douglas Adams to show him how to write a Rincewind story, I would believe you.

Extremely weird to know that some people liked Eric less than the Colour, Light Fantastic or even Sourcery (even though Sourcery is very solid).

Another fun romp on Discworld

Wherein: Eric learns to be careful what you wish for and to read the fine print of the wishing rules. Rincewind appears to possibly have -some- magic skills and definitely has great "run away" skills. The Luggage continues to be a strong candidate for my favorite Discworld character (it's a tight race with the Librarian).
